Now, ten years on, Goodman has helped to shape their long-term future by building OzHarvest a new multipurpose facility in our Industrial Estate at Alexandria. The new space has become OzHarvest's headquarters, enabled significant growth of their storage and logistics operations and also houses a commercial kitchen for their Nourish Program, which provides hope and employment opportunities to young people from troubled and disadvantaged backgrounds.
Goodman contributed close to $1.3 million to this project, with many of our suppliers also providing their skills and expertise pro bono, including Team2, FDC, Perfect Pipes, Rawfire, Traffix, Mackenzie Group, Northrop, Site Image and Fresh Landscapes. The provision of this space will certainly allow OzHarvest to continue to grow and to reach even more people who depend on this wonderful organisation for fresh food on a daily basis.
The Goodman team have also supported OzHarvest through a broad range of good+heart events including the CEO Cookoff, Cooking for a Cause, City to Surf and volunteering in the Eat.Think.Save and Eddie Dixon Christmas Lunch events, to name a few.
