Goodman’s sustainability vision aligns with our purpose “Making space for greatness” to address the needs of all our stakeholders.

We view sustainability as an approach that leads to positive economic, environmental and social outcomes for our business, our stakeholders and the world more broadly. Therefore, we adopt the latest sustainable practices and solutions including green building construction, solar power, LED lighting, waste management and an efficient water recycling system to achieve a low-carbon footprint.

As an industry leader in sustainability, we always strive to create safer, healthier workplace environments. We are pleased that Goodman is the first industrial and logistics property group in Hong Kong to be awarded the WELLHealthSafety rating by the International WELL Building Institute (IWBI) in 10 portfolios. This distinguished accreditation reflects our long-term commitments to air and water quality monitoring protocols and people’s health and safety.

Goodman Westlink, on track to complete in 2022, achieved the LEED® Gold pre-certification for energy savings, water efficiency, and design and build initiatives. Rainwater harvesting and water efficient fixtures will reduce usage by up to 50% using the LEED® baseline.

Our aim is to be using 100% renewable energy and be carbon neutral by 2025. Goodman Western Plaza has pioneered solar power usage and has been the pioneering property in Hong Kong through the installation of 500+ solar panels with a capacity over 235kW.

Through our partnership with ING we have received Goodman Group's first Sustainability Linked Loan where the cost of the loan is determined by our GRESB rating. By monitoring, reviewing and reporting our ESG performance through the Global Real Estate Sustainability Benchmark (GRESB), we stay committed to making a positive impact across all areas of our business.
