For more than 50 years, House with No Steps (HWNS) has been supporting adults and children with a disability, to live a good life as valued members of their community, assisting them to achieve their goals and fulfil their potential.
With services and businesses across NSW, Qld and the ACT, they are one of Australia’s largest disability organisations, supporting over 3,600 people with a disability.
Goodman has been supporting HWNS in numerous ways over the past few years. This includes purchasing biscuits for their Sydney Office Café, engaging their Growing Care team to landscape and maintain two of our South Sydney properties so as to facilitate the employment of people with a mild intellectual disability, through to sponsoring part of their Golf day to raise funds for their services.
The Goodman Foundation has also provided grants to HWNS’s Transition to Work programme offered through Choice Solutions, a division of House with Steps which specialises in Disability Employment Services.
The Transition to Work programme offers clients various subject areas under Personal Development, Work Skills and Living Skills learning streams.
Choice Solutions of HWNS believes their Transition to Work programme is one that will provide an environment with a strong employment focus and fostering collaboration and innovation towards improved employment outcomes for students. The grants from the Foundation enable the programme to include a well-being and fitness component.
