We are one of Europe’s leading property investment management and property services companies with over £9.8 billion of assets under management in Europe, approximately 50% of which are on behalf of pension funds.  We have a number of direct and indirect funds and also manage separate direct and indirect client accounts.

Core business

We develop and manage the full spectrum of commercial property in the UK, with a core focus on business parks, city centre office schemes and industrial property, but also including retail parks and regenerative mixed-use schemes.

As an active funds manager we are research led, through the application of forecasts and analysis to portfolio construction and to the selection of properties.  As at 31 December 2006, our direct investment team was responsible for over £5.6 billion of assets.

We also have a fully dedicated team for indirect, multi-manager mandates and Fund of Funds products and as at 31 December 2006, our indirect investment team was responsible for over £2 billion of managed assets.

Brief history

Goodman entered the UK market in December 2005 when it acquired Arlington Securities, which pioneered the business park concept in the early 1980s. In May 2006, Macquarie Goodman moved into Europe, purchasing industrial property developer Eurinpro. The business then went on to consolidate its strength across the UK in the business parks and industrial property sectors by acquiring sustainable business park developer Akeler in November 2006 and logistics property specialist Rosemound Developments in April 2007.
Our pedigree in property investment dates back to the 1970s.  We have been operating in the continental European property market since the 1980s and have had a dedicated indirect investment team since 1996.
